These terms apply when you buy from, or book with, Palesa's Bakes & Treats, at our shop or on this website. By placing an order you agree to them. They do not take away your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

Palesa's Bakes & Treats, Shop 19 A, Parklands Lifestyle Centre, Cape Town. Phone and WhatsApp 084 990 5734. Email info@palesasbakeryandretail.co.za. Shop hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00, Saturday 09:00 to 14:00, closed on Sunday.
Prices and payment
All prices are in South African rand. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay for that order. Delivery is currently R149, and you see the exact amount before you pay. If a delivery has to be made again because nobody was there, we will tell you the extra fee first. Prices can change, but the price you saw when you placed your order is the price you pay for it.
You can pay by card through Paystack, or by cash on delivery or collection where we offer it. For custom cakes we may ask for a deposit to secure your date, shown at checkout. Your order is confirmed once you see the confirmation page. We email you a copy as well.
Orders
We may refuse or cancel an order if an item is unavailable, a price was shown wrongly, or we cannot deliver to you. If we cancel an order you already paid for, we refund you in full.
Custom cakes
Custom cakes need 7 to 14 days notice. We agree the design, flavours, size, date and price with you before we start. Colours, decoration and finish may differ slightly from a photo or screen, because every cake is made by hand. You can change or cancel up to 7 days before the date; the rules for deposits are on our returns and refunds page.
Baking classes
A class booking is confirmed when you receive our confirmation. You may cancel up to 3 days before the class for a full refund. After that, the rules on our returns and refunds page apply. We may change a date or cancel a class if we have to, and we will offer you a new date or a full refund. Please follow the instructions of whoever is teaching during the class, and tell us about any allergies or needs before you book.
Allergies and food safety
Our products are made in a kitchen where eggs, milk, wheat, gluten, nuts and soy are used. We cannot promise any product is free of these. If you or someone you are buying for has an allergy, tell us before you order and we will give you the ingredients.
Delivery and collection
See our shipping and delivery page. Your order is ours until it reaches you. If something goes wrong on the way, that is ours to fix. Fresh food and cakes should be kept as we advise and eaten as soon as you can.

Our images and designs
The photos, designs and words on this website belong to Palesa's Bakes & Treats or are used with permission. Please do not copy them without asking us. If you send us an image for a cake or an edible print, you tell us you are allowed to use it.
Our responsibility
Please read this part carefully. We take care to make and deliver every order well. We are not responsible for losses we could not have expected when you ordered, or for delays caused by things outside our control, such as courier problems, power cuts or weather. Nothing in these terms takes away any right the law gives you, or limits our responsibility where the law does not allow it.

Changes and law
We may update these terms. The terms in force when you place your order apply to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
